Etroubles (AO) training camp

The small medieval village of Étroubles is located at 1270 meters above sea level in the splendid alpine context of the Gran San Bernardo valley, surrounded by large woods and green pastures. The locality was already known at the time of the Romans with the name of Restopolis, as it is located on the ancient Via delle Gallie, a transit route for the Alpis Poenina, the current Colle del Gran San Bernardo.

Along this route, in the following period, the Via Francigena also developed, the important road that in the Middle Ages connected the British Isles to Rome and Jerusalem, which can still be traveled today and frequented by many pilgrims. Étroubles is not only art and history, but also sports and outdoor activities.

The area is bordered by an amphitheater made up of magnificent mountains, including Mont Vélan and Mont Fallère, and is ideal for stays all year round: in summer, trekking lovers can choose between easy hikes and long crossings in uncontaminated valleys, stretches of the Via Francigena, or they can set off on itineraries over several days, such as the spectacular Tour du Mont Fallère, a loop that offers a spectacular view of the main 4000. In winter, for lovers of narrow skis, from Étroubles starts an 18 km long cross-country track that climbs up the valley and, passing through several pretty villages, reaches the 1521 meters of Saint-Rhémy-en-Bosses.

SPORTS FIELDS: municipal sports center with which we have an agreement 500 meters from the hotel, reachable both by car (with parking) and on foot with the following fields:

- non-regulatory outdoor asphalt basketball court
- outdoor 5-a-side football pitch in asphalt, marked and with doors
- 2 outdoor tennis courts with synthetic grass
- The center also has an approximately 500-long training run ring meters.
