Pizzoferrato (Abruzzo) training camp

Pizzoferrato, originally named Pizzosterrato, was later renamed Pizzoferrato because its inhabitants, in order to defend themselves from bandit raids, blocked the only access road to the village with a large iron gate. Located in the province of Chieti, it is a picturesque village nestled against a massive, barren, and black rock known as "pizzo"; it stretches between 1,250 and 1,629 meters above sea level, surrounded by forests and mountains, and overlooks the Sangro River valley.

Currently, the "Valle del Sole" is famous for the numerous sports activities that can be practiced.

The sports center we have selected is the Majella Sport Village, located at an altitude of 1,492 meters, nestled in greenery. The facility was specifically designed and built to accommodate schools, sports clubs, summer camps, and youth groups, offering the perfect balance for their needs.

Inside, you'll find a restaurant serving breakfast, lunch, and dinner, a relaxation area, and a panoramic terrace.

For sports activities, we offer the following services:

• Regulation-size grass football field (11-a-side) with changing rooms and storage, located about 400 meters away, accessible by foot.

• Multipurpose courts for basketball, volleyball, and five-a-side football.

• Summer swimming pool.

• Indoor and outdoor activity spaces.
