Brentonico is the name of the main town and its municipality includes other hamlets and mountain resorts: Castione, Cazzano, Crosano, Cornè, Prada, Saccone and Sorne, as well as the tourist centers of San Giacomo, San Valentino and Polsa. Cristoforo Benedetti (1657-1740), sculptor, stonemason and architect, who worked extensively in Trentino (in the cathedral of Trento and in the sanctuary of the Madonna del Monte in Rovereto), but also in Innsbruck (his "Column of Sant'Anna ").
Summer on Monte Baldo means outdoor activities! Are you a hiker, a biker or a lover of horseback riding? Explore the extensive network of forest roads and paths, some overlooking Lake Garda from which you can enjoy breathtaking views, others on the Path of Peace through the places of the Great War such as trenches, tunnels and fortifications!
From time to time make a stop in one of the many mountain huts, from where you can admire the sunrise while savoring fresh milk and delicious cheeses. In this season there is also a shuttle bus that connects the town of Brentonico with the mountain resorts of Polsa, San Giacomo and San Valentino, through scenic roads, with stops at the starting point of the main excursions on Monte Baldo.
The Brentonico plateau is also home to summer camps for children and a reference point for the athletic training of professional football teams and the blue and German national ski teams. (from www.visitrovereto.it)
